The Bridge of Michos in Aspropotamos

The Bridge of Michos is located near the provincial road Tria Potamia – Chaliki, at the intersections leading to Anthousa on one side, and to the Baros Pass – Matsouki – Kalarrytes on the other. Its significance remains considerable, especially for the residents of Anthousa (formerly known as "Lepenitsa"), as it serves as a crossing point to the Monastery of Panagia Galaktotrophousa.

In the past, it was an important passage connecting Thessaly with Epirus. According to oral tradition, the bridge owes its name to an unfortunate incident. It is said that a man named Michos lost his life here, either due to an accident or a violent clash.

The bridge originally had three arches, but today it has two, as one of the arches has been filled in.
