Tsipouro & Spirits Festival in Tyrnavos / October 18–19

On October 18 & 19, 2025, the Tsipouro & Spirits Festival will take place in Tyrnavos. The event is organized by the Municipality of Tyrnavos in collaboration with the Region of Thessaly, the Union of Thessalian Municipalities (PED Thessalias), and the Larissa Chamber of Commerce.

SATURDAY, 18/10
19:30 Visit to the booths of local associations and distillers in Tyrnavos Central Square
20:00 Opening remarks
20:30 Musical evening with Vangelis Korakakis in a lively folk–rebetiko celebration

SUNDAY, 19/10
11:00 Stavros Karassos Mansion
Presentation of the children’s book *“Prince Moschatos and the Enchanted Vine”* by Tania Chotou.
The reading will feature Elena Gravalou and Pantelia Katsi. Original music by Themis Samantzis.

11:00 Traditional parade of dance groups, starting from the Stavros Karassos Mansion

Cocktails featuring local double-distilled and aged tsipouro, crafted by the award-winning Tyrnavos bartender Giorgos Markoulis.

Photography exhibition themed around traditional distillation cauldrons, organized by the Tyrnavos Women’s Association.

Exhibition of costumes and photographs of past activities by the Gaitanaki–Bourani Tyrnavos Association — part of the town’s cultural heritage.

Traditional distillation cauldrons open to visitors throughout the weekend: Nikos Moustakas and Dimitris Papafigos, Honorary President of the Tyrnavos Distillers Association.
