Stefaniada Lake Festival 2025 / August 7–10 / Argithea

Amid the imposing mountains of the Thessalian Agrafa, at the enchanting Lake Stefaniada in Argithea, the heart of a festival beats for the second consecutive year—one that promises much more than just a summer getaway.

Stefaniada Lake Festival 2025 / August 7–10 / Argithea

The Stefaniada Lake Festival 2025 is a multifaceted ecotourism festival and a call to return. A return to nature, to community, to the arts, to taste, to simplicity, to the joy of creating with your hands, of engaging in dialogue, of gazing at the sky.

Its goal is to be established as a call for humanity to reconnect with nature. To serve as a reason for exercise, discovery, and education. To become a summertime celebration. To raise awareness for the protection of the natural environment.

In the minds and hearts of the people who devoted time and effort to the planning and realization of this important initiative, the Stefaniada Lake Festival is directly connected to the preservation of the Agrafa mountains. "If you learn about and love a place, you will protect it too." If we want to keep visiting Agrafa in the coming years, we must understand today’s real issues: desertification, living challenges, demographics, and the ecological destruction threatening the region. Information booths will be available throughout the festival days.

A lake with history and energy

Lake Stefaniada, a "lady aged 62," is the youngest natural lake in Greece, located in the heart of the country among slopes that radiate serenity and energy. In this unique place, visitors are invited to "take the mountain into themselves," to listen to the power of nature and allow it to redefine them. Stefaniada becomes a destination for those who love outdoor activities, seek alternative methods of relaxation and self-connection, want to learn more about cinema and photography, and are captivated by observing the night sky, enjoying an open-air film or a concert under the stars.
