8 February 2026Photography Exhibition “35 Years of Carnival – Bourani” – Tyrnavos (8–23/2/2026)A photography exhibition dedicated to the largest Carnival in Thessaly, as well as to a ritual strictly unsuitable for the prudish, rooted in the depths of the centuries: the famous Bourani.The Municipality of Tyrnavos and the Deputy Mayor for Culture are organizing a photography exhibition entitled “35 Years of Carnival – Bourani”, which will be inaugurated on Sunday, February 8, at 11:00 a.m., at the Karassos Mansion (16 Aristotelous Street), in Tyrnavos. The exhibition is dedicated to the long-standing history and the unique cultural identity of the Tyrnavos Carnival and the custom of Bourani, as captured through the photographic lens. Participating in the exhibition are the photographers Thanasis Kalliakoudas, Dimitris Kastanaras, Vangelis Kousioras, Iraklis Milas, Apostolis Domalis, and Kostas Tsiaras.The exhibition will run from Sunday, February 8 to Monday, February 23, 2026, with opening hours from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m..Admission is free to the public.
