Lantern Night

Each year, over 10,000 lanterns ascend into the Volos sky, creating a magical spectacle for the tens of thousands of visitors to the city. Crowds gather from the afternoon along Argonauton, the famous coastal promenade of the capital of Magnesia, eagerly awaiting the moment the signal is given to light the lanterns. And when it happens, everyone turns their gaze to the sky to enjoy the unique vista, while the evening culminates in a celebratory concert.

The event has a charitable character, as the goal is to financially support charitable institutions in the city.
