Ampelonas Wine Festival 2025

The Municipality of Tyrnavos, in the fertile Thessalian plain, is home to one of the largest vineyards in the country, covering 25,000 stremmas. Here, grape varieties are cultivated, with the most characteristic being Moschato of Tyrnavos, which has become closely tied to the identity and reputation of the area. The festival was created to highlight this winemaking and viticultural tradition, and to this day it remains a reference point for wine lovers, travelers, and culture enthusiasts.

Wine tourism experience

The festival grounds will host booths from local wineries and distilleries, offering visitors the chance to taste fine wines and tsipouro. 
At the same time, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the work of local artists through painting exhibitions, as well as explore the booths of cultural and sports associations of Ampelonas.

A cultural program with sparkle

The Wine Festival is not only about taste, but also about culture. The four-day program includes concerts, theatrical performances, traditional feasts, and children’s activities.

Thursday, September 4

• 20:30 – Opening of the festival, greetings, music events.
• 21:30 – Jazzy wine music by the Philharmonic of the Municipality of Tyrnavos.
• 22:30 – Concert with Michalis Hatzigiannis.

Friday, September 5

• 20:00 – Activities for children.
• 21:00 – Tribute to rebetiko.
• 22:30 – Ikariotiko feast with Nikos Fakaro and the Musicaroi.

Saturday, September 6

• 20:00 – Reading activities for children (mobile library “Rodani”).
• 20:30 – Dance performances by local associations.
• 22:30 – Traditional feast with Konstantina Touni.

Sunday, September 7

• 20:00 – Reading activities for children (“Rodani”).
• 21:00 – Demonstrations of rhythmic gymnastics, modern dance, and taekwondo.
• 22:00 – Shadow theater “The Wedding of Barba-Giorgos” with Takis Vamvakidis.
• 22:30 – Concert with Giota Negka.
