41st Horto Festival – Pelion / MediTerra

Vocalist Teti Kassionis shares the stage with three soloist musicians in a musical dialogue rich in Mediterranean color. The performance was first presented in Brussels and The Hague in March 2024 and has since continued to other European destinations. The Mediterranean Sea and the sun inspire a diverse and enchanting musical program.

Creative arrangements by the trio Tre Rose — featuring soloists Dimos Vougioukas on accordion, Giorgos Athanasiou on classical guitar, and Stavros Parginos on cello and mandolin — shape this captivating journey.

Songs from Southern France, Southern Italy, Greece, Portugal, Spain, and the Balkans are approached with sensitivity and authenticity, bringing them into a contemporary light. This compelling musical collaboration reveals the interpretive strengths of the performers, while the passionate and nostalgic music showcases their compositional and improvisational talents.

Pulsating rhythms full of vitality and emotion unite across the Mediterranean shores, expressing themes of love, loss, the refugee experience, and rebirth. The voice of the Greek singer embodies the spirit of Mediterranean cultures, celebrating life and love, the passions of ancestors, with a deep sensitivity that touches the audience’s soul and carries them into an ecstatic concert experience.
